A 15-year-old driver is injured in a crash with an emergency vehicle in Neosho County.
The male driver was traveling southbound on Douglas Road about 5 miles south of Chanute around 5pm last night. An emergency vehicle driven by 33-year-old Christopher Gericke was traveling westbound on 160th Road with lights and sirens activated when he failed to clear and yield at the intersection of Douglas Road and 160th. The Ford F-150 driven by the 15-year-old struck the emergency vehicle in the intersection and rolled. The juvenile was taken to Labette Health for treatment for minor injuries.
