Big Boy Passing Through Oklahoma and Kansas in Mid October

 

The World's Largest Steam Locomotive is making its way back through Oklahoma and Kansas for the first time since 2019.

 

Union Pacific's Big Boy begins its nine state journey on Wednesday, August 28th in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It arrives in Durant, Oklahoma on Sunday, October 13th before stopping in McAlester that night. On Monday, October 14th, Big Boy will leave McAlester headed to Coffeyville with a stop in Claremore at 1:15pm.

 

The train will depart Claremore at around 1:45pm and pass through Nowata before arriving in Coffeyville on Monday night. Big Boy leaves Coffeyville on Tuesday, October 15th at 9:00am on its way to Kansas City, Missouri.
