The City of Columbus and the Columbus Police Department announces two promotions within the Police Department.
Preston Hosier has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Hosier has been with the Columbus Police Department for five years and has recently taken the lead in the Filed Training Officer program. He has also played a key role in implementing the department's taser modernization initiative. C-P-D also recognizes Hosier efforts in organizing benefit events for Chief Jason Daniels and his family during Daniels' illness.
Also earning a new role is Officer Arlo Lewke who will serve as the new School Resource Officer. Lewke has also served with C-P-D for five years in the positions of Animal Control Officer, Police Officer, and Code Enforcement Officer. Lewke will be stationed at the Highland Education Center which is set to open this fall.
