Assessing the needs of today and the future has been a topic of discussion with the USD436 school district for the past few months. During last night's meeting, an architect was approved to help present current and future needs to district residents.

 USD436 Superintendent Blake Vargas says Architect One is a great choice for now and down the road.

 Vargas says the two main concerns to address is the entrance of the elementary school and storm shelters for all schools in the district. He says the projects need to be addressed, but they need to be addressed responsibly.

 Vargas says a series of public meetings will be held for USD436 residents to ask questions and look at the projects on the district watch list.

 In other business, the board received updates on hail damage repair to buildings during recent storms, and heard an update on the renovation of CV West.
