An Overland Park man was killed on Saturday when he was struck by a semi tractor-trailer on I-135 in Harvey County.

 44-year-old Richard Anthony Hall was standing in front of a Ford Fusion that was legally parked on the shoulder of the roadway along I-135 near McPherson. The tractor trailer was heading northbound in the right lane and was unable to move to the left lane as it approached the car. The semi slowed down as it approached and, for an unknown reason, Hall ran into the roadway and was struck by the right front corner of the truck.
