Authorities have determined the cause of a fatal plane crash that happened near Oklahoma City earlier this week.
The Federal Aviation Administration has determined that the crash was caused when the single engine Beech F-33-A aircraft clipped a hay bale with its left wing during take off. The collision caused the small plane to veer off of the runway and into a nearby wooded area.
Crews from the Oklahoma City Fire Department said the plane was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.
There were four people on board the plane when the accident occurred. There were no survivors. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
