Democratic candidate for Kansas' 2nd Congressional District Nancy Boyda defeated her intra-party opponent Matt Kleinmann Tuesday night to secure a place on the General election Ballot in November.
Boyda is no stranger to the 2nd district, a Congressional seat she held after beating Jim Ryun in 2006. Boyda says that experience should help her in what she sees as a tough fight in the general election.
Boyda thanks those who supported her in the primary and says she feels she is the candidate who can appeal to voters on both sides of the political divide.
Boyda will face Republican Derek Schmidt and Libertarian John Hauer in November.
