The 2024 primary election sees an encouraging voter turnout in Wilson County.
More than 1,300 total votes were cast, combined from advance voting and election day. County Clerk Kayla Busch says the numbers are higher than usual.
The commissioners will canvass the results of the election at next week's meeting, along with reviewing the 38 provisional ballots.
Additional items of business include an update from Road and Bridge on work beginning on 500 Road, as well as an update from County Appraiser Jessica Porter, who is needing to hire an employee in the Appraiser's Office.
The commission will meet next on August 14th at 9 a.m. in Room 101 of the County Courthouse in Fredonia.
