A former Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy receives probation for punching an inmate.

 Kymbal Britt was sentenced yesterday in a Sedgwick County Court for the incident that occurred on April 22. Britt waived his right to a jury trial and entered a guilty plea to one count of battery in the case. He was given six months probation in the case. If he violates the terms of his probation, he will then be subject to serve a term of six months in jail.

Britt was immediately removed from duty at the Sedgwick County Jail when the incident was discovered.
