As Coffeyville Regional Medical Center progresses on the construction of their new primary care clinic, Montgomery County discusses how much of a $1.7 million dollar grant to transfer to them.

 

 At this week's commission meeting, commissioners heard concerns from County Financial Officer Fred Gress and County Administrator Jonathan Booe. Gress tells the commission that the major issue is how CRMC will draw the grant money from the county coffers.

 

Gress says the county trusts CRMC, but that the county IS responsible to the state for the money, and that there are possible situations where the county would need to repay funds not used. County Administrator Jonathan Booe says the county isn't the only party with concerns.

 

Commissioners decided to disburse half of the money to CRMC to allow them to begin construction and then revisit the issue when more funds are needed.
