Local fire departments respond to a pair of structure fires over the weekend.

 

According to the Coffeyville Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 1306 Read Ave around 11:40 p.m. late Friday night. Upon arrival, flames were visible from the front of the house. The fire started on the front porch and extended into the home. It took about 10 minutes to bring the fire under control.

 

The next day just after 11 a.m., the Coffeyville Fire Department was dispatched to 1107 W 3rd to a report of a building fire. Upon arrival, crews saw flames visible from the upstairs of the house. The fire was brought under control and no injuries were reported.

 

Both fires are currently under investigation. Off-duty Coffeyville personnel plus Dearing, South Coffeyville and Liberty Fire all helped with the weekend fires. Coffeyville Police and Coffeyville Regional Medical Center also provided assistance.
