An Oklahoma Sheriff's Deputy is being lauded as a hero after pulling a driver from a burning vehicle.
An off-duty deputy wasted no time on July 31when he approached a single vehicle accident just outside the city of Muldrow, OK, on Highway 64. As Sequoyah County Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Whitus approached, the truck burst into flames. Whitus pulled over, left his vehicle, and pulled the unconscious driver from the truck, saving his life. The S-C-S-O says the driver remains in the hospital in serious but stable condition.
