A southwest Missouri man has been arrested in a stabbing death that occurred Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

 The incident occurred in Verona, MO, a small town located southwest of Springfield. Law enforcement arrived on scene Tuesday evening to find a deceased man with a stab wound sitting in a vehicle. Another man located in the area, told Lawrence County Deputies that he thought he had just killed someone. He also stated that the deceased man had threatened him with a knife.

25-year-old Randall Conklin was arrested at the scene and is charged with 2^nd degree murder and armed criminal action. He is being held without bond. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
