As the weather heats up once again, it's important to take care of ourselves and finds ways to stay cool and keep hydrated.

 

 It's also important to remember our four-legged friends during the heat. Becky Barnhardt with Coffeyville Friends of Animals reminds us that hot surfaces can mean painful paws for dogs.

 

Barnhardt says bring your pets inside if possible. And, if you can't, make sure outside animals have plenty of shade and cool, clean water to drink.
