The Kansas Department of Transportation announces the approval of bids for road work in southeast Kansas.
KDOT approved funding of $412,000 for mill overlay in Cherokee County on US-166 from the US-36/K-26 junction to the Kansas/Missouri state line. Nearly half a million dollars was approved for 10 miles of pavement marking on US-69 near Pittsburg. In Montgomery County, repair work totaling $480,000 will be done on US-166 near the Chautauqua County line.
