Another heat wave arrives today for the four states.
An excessive heat warning is in place today through Thursday night for most of eastern Kansas including Montgomery County.
Portions of northeast Oklahoma including Washington County are also included in the excessive heat warning. The rest of the four-state area is under a heat advisory. The heat index is expected to range from 108-111 for most of this week. Those working outside should take frequent breaks and stay hydrated by drinking a cup of cool water every 20 minutes, and watch for any signs of heat illness.
