Several area County fairs are in full swing this week.
In Sedan, the Chautauqua County Fair is underway, and at 5:30 tonight there will be a free BBQ and bean feed. Table service will be provided and donations are appreciated. The talent show will also be tonight at 6:30. The rodeo also starts tonight, with a full lineup of events including bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding and steer wrestling to name a few. 4-H Events today include the swine show today at 8 a.m., rabbit and poultry show at 11, bucket calf show at 6 p.m. and the beef show at 7.
In Wilson County, the rabbit and poultry show is this afternoon at 2 p.m., and check-in of all exhibits except food and flowers is tonight from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Also tonight there will be a glow-in-the-dark kickball game at 8 p.m.
In Labette County, the dairy cattle, bucket calf and goat show is today at 8 a.m., round robin showmanship takes place at 1 this afternoon, and the horse show will be at 7 p.m.
