A Parsons man is arrested for a domestic assault incident lasting for multiple days.

The Parsons Police Department was notified about a possible domestic assault and officers were dispatched to the 2900 Block of Clark. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victim, a 42-year-old female, who shared a detailed description of her assaults that transpired over a period of days. The victim stated that she had been repeatedly punched and strangled to the point of not being able to breathe. The assailant told the victim that he was going to slaughter the family. There was evidence of ongoing violent conduct inside the residence, including damaged walls and doors. The victim was also held against her will. There were several instances of reported sexual assault over a period of days.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Justin Wayne Schwark at the scene. He was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, aggravated kidnapping and criminal threats. Schwark posted bail before he could be booked into the county jail. The victim is receiving protective assistance.
