The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office arrests two men on narcotics charges.
Deputies served a narcotics-related search warrant on a Riverton home Monday, July 22, 2024. Arrested at the scene were 33-year-old Matthew Haynes and 41-year-old Brandon Lewis. During the course of the search, deputies found narcotics along with drug paraphernalia consistent with distribution. Both men were transported to the Cherokee County Jail in Columbus.
Haynes faces charges of possessing cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Haynes is also being held on allegations of child endangerment. Lewis was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants for possessing a controlled substance and failure to pay child support.
