Police in Pryor respond to a deadly shooting.

 

 The incident happened at the Econo Lodge Motel around 9:30pm on Sunday. Witnesses say the victim was standing in the parking lot outside a hotel room when the suspect drove up in a vehicle. The two spoke and the suspect shot the victim for no apparent reason. Police say the two did not know each other.

 

The victim was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

 

The driver of the vehicle was apprehended by Mayes County deputies, just north of Chouteau. He has been identified as James Leroy Jackson. Jackson has been booked into the Mayes County Jail on charges of first-degree murder.
