Seven people are injured following a Sunday morning car accident in Derby, KS.

 The accident happened around 11am yesterday when two vehicles waiting at a red light were struck from behind by a third vehicle. A total of four people were taken to nearby hospitals following the accident – two with critical injuries and two with serious injuries. No names have been released but the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that three of those hospitalized are children.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident and believe speed may have been a factor.
