At this week's Parsons City Commission meeting, the Parsons Police Department officially welcomed new officer Cory Brown into their ranks.

 

 Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks says Brown completed his Field Officer Training Program.

 

Brown was presented with his pin by one of his four children.

 

In other business, the commission held a public hearing on neighborhood revitalization. The group discussed new construction and the renovation of existing buildings inside the flood plain for economic development.
