The City of Baxter Springs joins the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Route 66 Speed Campaign Tour.

 The campaign focuses on educating the public on the dangers of speeding in communities along historic Route 66. Members of the Baxter Springs Police Department attended an event in Galena yesterday to kick off their participation in the program. During the campaign, officers in Baxter Springs will strive to educate drivers about the dangers and potentially deadly effects of speeding while promoting safer driving habits in the community.
