An inmate at the El Dorado Correctional Facility has died.

 

 24-year-old Blade Floyd was found unresponsive in his cell yesterday. Staff and EMS attempted to revive him but were unable to do so. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of Dloyd's death.

 

The incident is under investigation by the Kansas Department of Corrections and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

 

Floyd was serving a 12 year prison sentence for burglary convictions in Wilson County.
