The Elk County Free Fair continues today through the weekend in Longton, KS.

This afternoon, turtle and kid races will take place at 2 p.m. The pedal tractor pull will be tonight at 5 p.m., and there will be a free barbecue tonight at 6 p.m. The 4-H beef show also takes place tonight at 6 p.m., followed by VIP showmanship. There will also be a food auction at 7 p.m. plus bingo tonight.

Highlights tomorrow include the fair parade at 10:30 and Schenck Insurance watermelon feed at 6 p.m. After the parade tomorrow, there will be a meet-and-greet for any candidate running for office in Elk County. Each candidate will have three to five minutes to introduce themselves and then talk with the public.
