One man is dead and a second hospitalized after a shooting in Parsons Wednesday night.  A third man has been taken into custody facing murder charges.

 At about 11:00 Wednesday night police were called to the 2300 block of Appleton for reports of a man bleeding.  When officers arrived they found Tylor Abshere lying in the street with a gunshot wound and a group of people standing around him.  Police contacted EMS and began applying first aid when a man stepped from behind a tree holding a gun saying he had shot the victim.  Police were able to de-escalate the man who was identified as Michael Morales.

 While being a arrested Morales attempted to flee and was tazed by officers.  Once Morales was placed into custody police were advised there was a second victim inside a residence.  Police then found a second man, identified as Maurice Harper.  Both Harper and Abshere were transported to the hospital but Harper was later pronounced dead.

 48 year old Michael Chrsitopher Morales is in custody facing charges of first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery and interference with law enforcement.  No other information is being released at this time as this is an on going active investigation.
