Advance voting for the upcoming August primary election begins this week in Wilson County.

 

Citizens of the county may vote at the Courthouse in Fredonia, which is open to voting Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The county courthouse is the only location in Wilson County for advance voting.

 

Advance voting concludes on Monday, August 5th, with the primary election the following day on August 6th.

 

Additionally, County Health Director Amy Lell gave a department update. She says they are hoping to do more training with safe sleep.

 

The commissioners had a consensus to approve the necessary $500 registration fee for the seminar.

 

Commissioners also had a budget work session for the 2025 Fiscal Year, and scheduled the official budget hearing for September 11th at 10 a.m.

 

The next Wilson County Commission meeting is July 24th at 9 a.m. in Room 101 of the county courthouse.
