The Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office says there is insufficient evidence to file charges in an animal cruelty case involving the Valley Center High School varsity baseball team.
The incident involved allegations that the team had killed a chicken on a school baseball field before leaving for an away game in April. Prompting the school district to suspend the rest of the team's season.
The D.A.'s Office said the investigation into the incident did not produce enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime under Kansas law.
