Authorities in southwest Missouri are investigating the drowning death of a 4-year-old child.

 Police from Aurora and Marionville, Missouri, responded to calls of a child found unconscious in the swimming pool of a residence on Monday evening. Efforts were made to revive the child, who was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Authorities have called the child's death a tragic accident and no wrong-doing is suspected.
