Yesterday saw a contentious meeting of Commissioners in Osage County, Oklahoma.
Issues began in the new business part of the meeting when Commissioner Charlie Cartwright informed the commission that one of its member attempted to put an item on the agenda and had that request denied by County Clerk Robin Slack.
Tempers continued to flare as the commission attempted to hire Stacey Brace as a new commission assistant. Before a vote could be taken, a member of the audience asked for the item to be tabled for a week. That request also made commissioners bristle.
The motion to approve Brace was approved. Brace was fired from working in the county clerk's office earlier this year. The commission also heard updates on the courthouse annex project
