An attempted traffic stop leads to a brief high-speed chase for the Kansas Highway Patrol.

 A KHP officer attempted to pull over a van yesterday evening around 8:30pm, after noticing a stolen tag on the vehicle. Instead of pulling over, the van fled and the officer pursued. During the chase, the van struck another vehicle, but continued on into the city of Wichita. The van then failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and overturned. Both the driver and the passenger sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries. There were no injuries in the first crash caused by the van. The van was later discovered to be stolen. No names have yet been released as the investigation continues.
