Commercial Bank was recognized by the Independence Chamber for 150 years Friday morning. Chuck Goad of the bank accepted a plaque from Chamber president Lisa Wilson at the Chamber’s First Friday at Memorial Hall this morning.
Goad accepted the plaque then spoke about changes in the industry and then rise of fraud and scams with the prevalence of on line banking. Other speakers at the event included Andy Taylor who spoke eloquently about the “Stuff the Bus” effort to provide much needed school supplies for children.
Mindy Blackard of FORPAZ spoke about their organization and invited people to join during their current membership drive Then Montgomery County Appraiser, Melody Kikkert spoke to the audience about how appraisals are done
