Human remains found in northeast Kansas are believed to be those of a missing Blue Rapids man.
Agents from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office discovered human remains while searching in rural Marshall County on Wednesday evening. The KBI's Crime Scene Response Team was called in to process the area, located northwest of Waterville, Kansas.
The remains are believed to be those of 36-year-old Camoran Shoptese.
Agents on the scene found evidence indicating that Shoptese had been murdered. A person of interest in the case is currently in custody on unrelated charges.
