Today is the final big day of events at the Cherryvale Youth Fair.
The day will begin with a breakfast for fair exhibitors, their families and fair sponsors at 8 a.m.
Starting at 9 a.m., the skillathon will be held at the Cherryvale Community Center two blocks south of the fairgrounds.
Entries for the adult bakeoff are due at noon, and the proceeds benefit the Landon Roberson and Brayden Yates Families.
Bucket Calf Interviews take place at 1 p.m., and the silent auction of the adult bakeoff items will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Livestock exhibitors will have a meeting in the show ring at 5:30 for a group picture, then livestock judging will take place at 6 p.m.
The much-anticipated kiss the goat contest will take place during the livestock show. At last count, Andy Taylor and Trey Newby are still in the lead, but Sheriff Ron Wade is not far behind. Donations to the contest will all go towards Deputy Justin Ward and his family.
Finally, there's also a free watermelon feed at 5:30 tonight and the FFA alumni BBQ at 6 p.m. as well.
The fair wraps up tomorrow with cleanup and pickup of livestock and exhibits.
