The City of Independence is looking for volunteers to serve on two city boards.
The Independence Tree Board has a current opening. The Tree board addresses the planting, maintenance, and removal of trees on public property. Nature enthusiasts and community-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

The city is also looking for someone to fill the open position on the Park Board. Board members have the opportunity to influence decisions and help shape the future of our beloved parks and zoo. The Park Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 5:30pm.
