The Kansas Department of Transportation approves several area highway construction and maintenance projects.
Repair projects approved in southeast Kansas include nearly $180,000 in Greenwood County for a bridge over the Verdigris River on US-54 just west of the Greenwood/Wilson County line. The state also approved a pavement marking project in Labette County on US-59 for $38,000. KDOT approved two projects in Wilson County. The first is a pavement marking project on US-400 near the K-47 junction for $47,000 and two bridge repair projects on US-400 for nearly $1.2 million.
