The switching from the 2023 to 2024 school year took place during last night's USD436 board meeting.

 Updates were also given on the remodeling of CV West. Superintendent Blake Vargas says he's pleased with the progress made in the last two months.

 Vargas says multiple projects are being tackled by the district during summer break, including roofing issues on the elementary and high school buildings. He says all district buildings will be impacted positively by the work being done.

 In other business, a committee was formed to begin the selection process for an architect for future district projects, so planning and budgeting can continue for the future. The committee hopes to have a recommendation for the board by next month's meeting.
