A Winfield man is in custody following a high speed chase across state lines.

 26-year-old Tanner Lowe was arrested and taken to the Osage County, Oklahoma, Jail on Friday. Lowe is accused of attempting to elude police along State Highway 99 along the Kansas/Oklahoma border. Kansas officials alerted the Osage County Sheriff’s Office of a stolen license plate on his vehicle and deputies made an attempt to stop Lowe.

When making that attempt, he fled and eventually lost control of the vehicle near Skyline Drive near Pawhuska. Lowe faces charges of knowingly concealing stolen property, not wearing a seatbelt and attempting to elude.
