The Kansas Legislature has just finished a special session called by Governor Laura Kelly to address tax relief.
State Representative Doug Blex says the compromise tax bill will provide Kansans relief for their income tax. However, Blex says it does not do much to affect the type of tax most disliked by taxpayers.
Blex adds that July 1st is a date that many new laws go into effect. More than 100 new laws went into effect at the beginning of this month. Blex says two new ones will effect driving on Kansas roads.
Blex says law enforcement will often allow for a grace period to let drivers get used to the new regulations, but he also cautions driver to be aware of the law change and the adjust their driving habits.
