The Kansas highway Patrol nabs a holiday speeder for excessive speeding.
A State Trooper ticketed a driver in north central Kansas in Cloud county on Wednesday afternoon who was going 103mph in a 70mph zone. The fine for the infraction was $240 with a $108 docket fee, for a total of $348. If the driver does not pay, they will be required to appear in court.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says driving at such high speeds poses a significant danger to everyone on the road. They urge all motorists to slow down, wear seatbelts, and report any vehicle traveling well above the posted speed limit.
Those with concerns about highway drivers can call KHP dispatch at *47.
