The Parsons Fire Department will soon be getting some much needed repairs.

 At this week's city commission meeting, commissioners approved a bid by Innovative Masonry Restoration for just over $142,000 to repair leaky windows in Parsons Fire Department building on Washington Street. Commissioner Tom Shaw asks if repair on the building is better than replacement.

The motion to approve the bid to repair the building was unanimously approved. In other business, the commission also approved a change in zoning regulations that would allow residents to live in recreational vehicles.
