A line of thunderstorms that moved across central Kansas on Wednesday leaves a trail of damage and injury at one Kansas Lake.
Authorities in Russell County says a 64-year-old Holyrood man is dead and three others are injured following a severe thunderstorm at Wilson State Park. The storm hit the camping area around 11:30pm on Wednesday and produced heavy rain along with wind gusts up to 70mph. Several campers were damaged and blown over during the storm. A man identified as Christopher Montoya was found deceased in one of the lake's camping areas. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
The clean up process at the lake is underway.
