The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announces a voluntary recall of some dog and cat food.
The pet food in question is made by Viva Raw of North Carolina and the foods have been found to contain listeria, which can pose a health risk to pets and their humans. The products include viva Turkey for Dogs Ground and Chunked, Viva Turkey for Cats, Viva Pure Turkey, and Viva Beef and Turkey for Puppies.
People can be affected by listeria by touching contaminated foor or coming into contact with animals who have eaten contaminated food.
