Semi Full of Potatoes Overturns in Southwest Missouri

A semi truck accident in southwest Missouri causes a dicey problem.

A tractor-trailer carrying 41,000 (forty-one thousand) pounds of frozen, diced potatoes overturned early this morning near Carthage, MO.

Authorities say the big truck overturned to the right on I-49, traveling far enough that it blocked the west outer road on the opposite side of the roadway. The top of the truck burst open in the accident, spilling frozen potatoes into the ditch.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries in the accident and was treated at a nearby hospital. Jasper County Deputies, EMS and Fire responded to the accident.
