Independence Police arrest two men after responding to a residential alarm.

 I-P-D responded to a residential alarm on West Irving Street early Saturday morning. When officers arrived, they found 29-year-old Tyler Slayton and 43-year-old Jamie Hoggatt. The pair were both found to have outstanding warrants from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. They were arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail. Hoggatt also faces additional charges of felony interference with a law enforcement officer and communicating false information to request emergency assistance.
