The Oklahoma highway Patrol responds to reports of a pedestrian hit by a car near Afton.
Early Thursday morning, the O-H-P was called to the scene of a vehicle/pedestrian accident on US-60. Arriving on the scene, troopers found 48-year-old James Harding who had been driving a 2000 Mazda Tribute. Harding was traveling southbound on US-60 when he failed to see a man kneeling on the highway in the southbound lane. The pedestrian was struck and died after sustaining massive injuries. Harding was uninjured in the accident.
The name of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
