Montgomery County Commission Meets After Memorial Day Holiday

 

 The Montgomery County Commission meets after the long holiday weekend.

 

In a Tuesday meeting due to the Memorial Day holiday, Montgomery County Commissioners met and approved a bid for chemicals to combat noxious weeds in the county. The low bid went to the Van Diest company for just over $35,000. Commissioner Mike Cordray asks Public Works Director Jim Wright if chemical costs are on the rise.

 

In other business, The commission approved the change of Cherryvale's portion of county tourism dollars to be paid to the Cherryvale Chamber of Commerce instead of the city and county treasurer Nancy Clubine reported to the commission about sale tax payments made to the state.
