Things in Chetopa are getting back to normal after a major water line break over the weekend left residents in emergency mode.

 

 City crews have been working hard to find and repair various leaks around the city after major conservation efforts were put in place. Residents were advised yesterday (Tuesday) evening that they could go back to normal household water usage. However, residents are asked to avoid excessive usage such as the filling of swimming pools until further notice.

 

Residents are also asked to avoid driving on the loop in the city park to avoid work crews and equipment. City officials commend the reduction in consumption that helped Chetopa avoid a boil water order during the repair process.
