Two Fatal Accidents Over Memorial Day Weekend

 

 The Kansas Highway Patrol respond to a pair of fatal accidents over the long holiday weekend.

 

 The first accident occurred on Friday just east of Abilene, when traffic on I-70 back up due to another accident. 67 year old William Anyan of Athens, Georgia, was stopped on his motorcycle when he was truck from behind by another vehicle and killed.

 

The other fatality accident occurred in the northeast part of the state near Council Grove when a Toyota RAV-4 and Dodge Ram 1500 struck head-on. The occupants of the Ram – Andrew and Lisa Steele, both of White City, KS – each sustained serious injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals. There were five occupants in the RAV 4 and three of them were killed in the accident. Those include 33 year old Troy Sabean of Roseville, MN, 69 year old Ann Porter of Fergus Falls, MN, and 33 year old Emma Porter, also of Roseville, MN. Paul Porter and Kathleen Lebarron were both seriously injured.
