The daughter and son-in-law of Missouri State Representative Ben Baker were murdered overnight during a bout of gang violence in Haiti. Davy and Natalie Lloyd were in the country as full-time missionaries when violence broke out
Haiti has been in a state of unrest since the 2021 assassination of President Jovenal Moise. The most recent prime minister resigned on March 11.
Ben Baker represents the 160th district in the Missouri State House. He was first elected in 2018 after serving as mayor and a council member in Neosho.
